Learning from home – Word Splat

We play this game at school – try it at home!

Adults – write words on paper (or chalk outside) and call out a word for your child to splat. We use a fly swatter, but use anything you can find!

You could try writing tricky words, words with digraphs in (check their sound box for ones they should know) or high frequency words (words that appear lots when reading e.g can, look, it, is, It, In, see, of, and). Think about what your child needs to practise.

You can swap roles and ask your child to call one out for you!

You could also try it with numbers.
