Learning from home – cooking and writing

Mrs Bull has been busy baking over the holiday and sent me a photo of some delicious Rocky Road.

I have perfected my own version of an Egg McMuffin. Have you been baking or cooking? Let us know if you have been by writing a list of the ingredients, a sentence about it or instructions on how to make it.

Remember to use your sounds, tricky words and finger spaces. Adults – remember that the words might not be spelled ‘correctly’ e.g make might look like maik, but that’s OK at this stage. Encourage them to spell the tricky word that they know correctly, such as the, my, we etc and common words e.g put. Writing the odd word for them is fine too, but avoid writing sentences out for them to copy.

Here’s my example – a list is easier, instructions more difficult.
