Well done Team Year 4! You have made it to the final day of the week. I hope you all have some rest over the weekend.
I will be in school next week so you will hear from Mr Collingwood and Miss Albone. I hope you all have a nice week.
Here are your learning ideas for today:
Lockdown idea: make your own games
English: non-chronological report continued
Solving life’s problems: perimeter and area project continued
Topic: science: make your own erupting volcano
Here is some more information for you:
Lockdown Idea:
Could you use every day objects to create your own game like this one? You could create a scoring system to help with your maths skills.

English: non-chronological report continued
We have received some great plans and some wonderful reports too! Some have decided to do their maths today and English tomorrow – that’s no problem! Whatever works best for you.
Solving life’s problems: perimeter and area project continued
We have seen some great example of zoos, Marvel homes and many more! I’m glad you have been enjoying this project.
Topic: science: make your own erupting volcano
Below are instructions to make a volcano explode! Before you have a go, please think about the following:
- you may not have all the equipment – that’s OK! Maybe you could investigate some other ways
- if you use papier mache, you might have to wait until the weekend or next week to finish it
- food colouring and glue is messy business! PLEASE do not ruin carpets and things at home. Maybe this is one to try over the kitchen sink or outside!
- if your parents/carers decide they would like you to give this one a miss, please do not be upset. Be understanding and resourceful instead. You could create your own volcano project idea
Have a great day!
