Good morning year 4. We hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mr Collingwood is in school this week so I look forward to responding to all of your great learning emails with Miss Albone.

Here are your learning ideas for today:

Lockdown idea: Making Monsters!

English: using apostrophes

Solving life’s problems: measurement

Topic: introducing volcanoes

Here is some more information for you:

Lockdown idea: Making monsters – you will need to be resourceful with this one too. You might not have the bottle caps shown in the video but you might have plastic ones in the recycling! Perhaps play your ‘monster-nets’ away from the adults! We don’t want to give them a headache!

English: apostrophes.

There are two reasons to use apostrophes – belonging (or possession) and contractions.

Here are some practical activities you might like to try:

Could you make your own rain gauge to show your measuring skills? There are lots of other ideas online.

Please be very careful using scissors with plastic!
